(Sony Music Nashville) On the heels of questions like "Who the heck are 80 Acres?" (Holler), new band 80 Acres today releases their debut self-titled EP. The five-member band is fronted by Dylan Marlowe with Christian Strahley on drums, Ethan Leak and David Medlin on guitar, and John Frisch on bass.

80 Acres built anticipation for quite some time regarding what might be coming, with band Treaty Oak Revival later entering the conversation, posting a cryptic image on Instagram about 80 Acres.

Soon after, 80 Acres posted a clue on Spotify in the form of a recording titled "PURGATORY" and sharing a teaser on Instagram as well, eventually announcing the upcoming arrival of their debut EP. Fans later learned that Treaty Oak Revival is featured on the project.

The band formed organically, the direct result of years touring together for Dylan Marlowe's solo career. Night after night, while touring Marlowe's country set, they found themselves slipping in covers of bands like Fall Out Boy and Blink-182 - music that influenced them since their earliest days. Later on, Marlowe, adopting a free-flowing creative approach, penned track, "Least You Could Let Me Do," with Strahley, Leak, Medlin, and Frisch joining him in the studio to record the song. It became clear that the band had captured something worth exploring, and 80 Acres emerged.

Featuring gritty guitars, anthemic melodies, and an unapologetic attitude, the self-titled EP offers a snapshot of the 80 Acres sound - one that pays homage to the punk rock genre while also standing alone in a category all its own. Marlowe penned all songs on the project, co-writing track "Mess We Made" which features Treaty Oak Revival, with guitarist David Medlin. Additionally, Marlowe co-produced the project with Ryan Youmans, working to bring the sound the band developed on the road to life.

80 Acres frontman Dylan Marlowe shared the group's sentiments sharing, "It's just freedom. It's fun. It's feeling like you're 10 years old in your bedroom playing your guitar for the first time, learning the first song you ever learned or the first chord on your guitar. That's how it felt making this music."

The full track list for the EP includes:
"Wait At The Gate"
"Least You Could Let Me Do"
"Roses"
"Mess We Made" (feat. Treaty Oak Revival)
"Is You"
