Swamp Dogg Contemplates the Afterlife is Swamp Dogg's 31st non-compilation full-length album in a career that stretches across eight decades. Released by S-Curve Records on Juneteenth 2026, the album finds the pioneering soul artist reflecting on mortality, legacy, and the enduring power of music while continuing his tradition of fearless genre-bending.
The album was produced by Swamp Dogg with S-Curve founder Steve Greenberg, Mike Mangini, and Sam Hollander, and includes a guest appearance by Gary U.S. Bonds on "Waka Waka Waka," as well as "Searching For Heaven" and "Acid Tongue," originally by Jenny Lewis, with whom Swamp Dogg has recorded in recent years.
