(CR) Rising 23-year-old singer-songwriter Johnny Huynh released his debut album HEAVEN'S ON FIRE via Columbia Records. Working alongside notable producers including Colin Foote, Alex Borel, Michael Fatkin and LOUALLDAY, Johnny has channeled the last year and a half of his life experiences into his most personal work to date.
The album moves through heartbreak, falling in love, the loss of his grandmother and the experience of growing up as a young Asian American. The 13-track album features the emotionally charged track "Oxygen" as well as the sweeping duet "All I Saw Was You" feat. Jessica Baio, which has already surpassed 7.3 million streams worldwide to date. Stream it here
"HEAVEN'S ON FIRE is about the moments where beauty and pain exist at the same time," Johnny says. "You can be surrounded by love and hope and still feel like everything is burning around you. Every song on this album came from one of those moments."
Seattle-born Vietnamese-American Johnny Huynh's popularity exploded on social media, thanks to open-hearted covers of anthems by Billie Eilish and more. His candor, sense of humor, and unfiltered spirit engaged a massive audience across TikTok and Instagram, amassing 8.8M+ and 3.5M+ followers respectively. Challenging pop stereotypes with his raw, emotional vulnerability, Johnny earned praise as the 'voice of a new generation' from Seattle Magazine. Johnny translated that viral momentum into his original music, gaining early traction with tracks like "HELL ON ME," and "RED ROSE." His releases "LOCK ME OUT" and "LOST MY FAITH" (which now have a combined 25.5 million global streams) solidified his upward trajectory, with tracks "ALL I SAW WAS YOU" (feat. Jessica Baio) and "BLEED MY LOVE" signaling new heights. This spring, Johnny will join Jessica on select tour dates as opening act, bringing his live show to audiences across the country for the first time.
