(Atlantic) Rising introspective folk and alternative pop voice Jessie Mazin releases live acoustic versions of tracks from her debut EP, untitled.jpeg (Live From Medium Sized Backyard) here.
Following the overwhelming response and over 1.7M views on her recent Medium Sized Backyard performance, the live acoustic EP captures a raw and intimate side of Mazin's artistry, featuring stripped-back performances of three tracks from untitled.jpeg including the breakout, "the man with money in his hands," as well as "the precipice," and "alive," and a stunning reimagined cover of Calvin Harris' "How Deep Is Your Love."
untitled.jpeg, which was produced by Carlos de la Garza and Adam Melchor, captures Mazin navigating political unrest, heartbreak, and the emotional disorientation of early adulthood through the lens of a generation raised online. Having grown up on the internet, the record channels that distinctly online coming-of-age into each track, capturing the shift from digital adolescence to adult reality, with its title reflecting both the permanence and performance of her online presence.
Released to widespread acclaim, Ones to Watch praises, "On untitled.jpeg, we not only bear witness to Jessie Mazin at her most vulnerable, but we also get to meet her at her most unapologetic, divisive and bold."
