(fcc) Grammy Award-winning, Platinum-selling, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame legends The Doobie Brothers have announced tour dates for their upcoming North American Walk This Road Tour. The September and October headlining shows will follow on the heels of the band's previously announced summer tour dates with Carlos Santana.

Produced by Live Nation, the Walk This Road Tour kicks off on Saturday, September 26 in Northfield, OH at MGM Northfield Park and stops in markets including Atlantic City, Wilmington, and Savannah, before wrapping up on Wednesday, October 21 in Estero, FL at Hertz Arena.

The touring announcement aligns with the 50th anniversary of the iconic band's milestone album Takin' It To The Streets, released in 1976 on Warner Bros. Records. Takin' It To The Streets, the band's sixth studio album, was the first Doobie Brothers album to feature singer/songwriter/keyboardist Michael McDonald on lead vocals and keys. The LP featured hit Doobie Brothers songs, "Takin' It To The Streets" and "It Keeps You Runnin'" as well as numerous other fan favorites. In honor of the 50 year anniversary of the watershed album, Rhino Records is releasing Takin' It To The Streets (Rhino Reserve), cut from original analog masters by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and pressed at Fidelity Record Pressing. Takin' It To The Streets (Rhino Reserve) will be available July 10 via Rhino Records.

The Doobie Brothers released their exceptional new studio album Walk This Road to critical acclaim in 2025. Rolling Stone dubbed it "vintage Doobies" with "all of the hallmarks that made the group such a force in the Seventies and Eighties - the irresistible melodies, the spark-up-and-chill vibes, those voices." Associated Press praised it as having "something for everyone - honky-tonk, driving country, flirty Southern pop, moody folk and melodic rock." Ultimate Classic Rock praised it for its "balance of rock, soul, pop and pristine adult contemporary for every type of Doobie Brothers fan." Walk This Road is their 16th album and their first ever studio album featuring principal members Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee and Michael McDonald, and the first in 40 years to feature McDonald in the studio again recording new music with the band. The record has ushered in a new era of the Doobie Brothers which saw a Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction, UK and US tours and an exquisite NPR Tiny Desk appearance, which included the hit song "Takin' It To The Streets."
