Zakk Wylde Reflects On His Connection To Ozzy Osbourne And His Family
(MS) Legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde joined Mark Strigl this past week on SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard (Channel 38) for an in-depth conversation covering a wide range of topics, including the upcoming Berserker Festival, his recent European performance with Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, and more.
Best known for his work with Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society, Zakk Sabbath, and Pantera, Wylde also reflected on his enduring connection to the Ozzy camp and the possibility of future collaborations with fellow Ozzy band members Adam Wakeman and Tommy Clufetos.
"We all keep in touch on the phone and stuff like that. Yeah, you never know when we might get together and do these celebratory, yearly Ozzy gatherings or whatever. I'm always up for anything. If Mom (Sharon) calls me up, if Mrs. O calls me up and asks me to do anything for Ozzy or the family, I am always there," said Wylde.
The conversation also touched on Black Label Society's recent addition of Ozzy Osbourne's classic "No More Tears" to its live set and whether more Ozzy material could find its way into future performances.
"Yeah, probably. You never know. I mean, down the line. 'No More Tears' came about, obviously because of that Brit Awards thing," Wylde explained.
