Insomnium Share 'Arch Of The Sky' Video
(Atom Splitter) With their video for new single "Arch of the Sky," Finland's masters of melancholy Insomnium delve into the realm of mythology. "Arch of the Sky" is the third track to be released from Insomnium's upcoming album, Netherworlds, which is scheduled for release on October 16.
Ville Friman (guitar, clean vocals) comments, "'Arch of the Sky' introduces a proggier side of the Netherworlds, featuring time signature changes and Insomnium's trademark blend of mellow passages and heavier sections.
Lyrically, the song is inspired by Sámi mythology, in which celestial hunters pursue a deer across the arch of the sky in perpetual motion. According to the legend, if the deer were ever caught, the world would come to an end as the roof of the sky collapsed."
